Trickett Autoworks will soon be offering new Maintenance, Servicing and MOT packages.
These packages are being designed specifically for those who are concerned about the environmental impact of buying a new vehicle, but want to ensure that the vehicle they wish to keep for an extended period, remains reliable and a pleasure to own.
To achieve these goals for our clients, we will be utilising our many years of experience in caring for Vintage and Classic cars, and instigate a more appropriate and pro-active inspection and maintenance routine.
Such a comprehensive routine will come at a cost, however for those that usually buy or lease a new car every few years, the economics are very favourable.
With the exception of the floor-pan and doors, most of the interior was left untouched in this restoration. However, the chassis, underbody, wheel arches, exterior bodywork and engine compartment, all had extensive corrosion issues. The front doors in particular took many hours of very intricate fabrication and welding to reinstate.
Unfortunately, there are no pictures of the finished chassis, underbody and wheel arches but these all received extensive remedial work and were finished off with rust prevention treatments and wax underseals.
The local owners are now very much looking forward to many years travelling in this beautiful vintage campervan, so keep an eye out for them and if you spot them, give them a wave.
Another piece of our motoring heritage preserved... a vehicle that brings some joy back onto our roads.
